Can anyone tell me if the attached photo is a gas bayonet fitting which is attached to my moms cooker and can I disconnect this myself without employing a gas.

Can i connect my new gas cooker myself As the house has a new gas bayonet fitting on the wall can i just connect it up or do i need a corgi fitter as it seems over the top to pay some one to connect one end of the pipe to the cooker and the other end to the wall bayonet socket. The regs do not say that only a corgi man can insert a male bayonet into a female socket fitting. But considering your going over to electric it is a sensible precaution to have the gas supply capped off.
