What I found was shocking.
Changing a Prius 12 Volt Battery. The Prius should have an AGM Valve Regulated battery and the hose should be hooked up to the vent hole for safety in case hydrogen or worse very poisonous hydrogen sulfide is vented out in a high pressure failure situation. The OP neglected to say what year version of Prius they have and whether they meant the 12V Auxiliary battery or the Hybrid Battery. This does not include labor costs.
